Tips for prolonging the service life of floor sweepers

- Sep 17, 2021-

As the use rate of the floor sweeper becomes more and more common, its quality is getting higher and higher. Because of its characteristics and advantages, it is widely used by everyone. In order for everyone to have a better application, let's understand the method of extending the service life of the floor sweeper. Which ones?

Now in many places such as shopping malls, hotels, squares, etc., cleaners are seen pushing hand-push floor sweepers to clean the ground. These hand-push sweepers have advantages that traditional cleaning methods cannot match. Therefore, the maintenance of the battery becomes an important link in the use process. The new battery needs to be fully charged before use. When charging, connect the battery to the charger. After the green light on the charger is on, plug the charger into the power socket. The battery wiring should be undamaged, and the connectors should be tightly connected. It is necessary to periodically check whether the battery wiring is damaged and whether the connector is loose. During the use and charging of the battery, the battery cover should be kept closed.

In order to extend the service life of the battery, the battery power must not exceed 80% of its capacity. Long-cycle batteries should be balanced and charged regularly. Balance charging is low current and delayed charging after normal charging. This delayed charging helps maintain the voltage balance between the various blocks of the battery. Commonly used batteries should be delayed charging once a week. If you use an automatic charger, after the normal charging is completed, cut off the charger, and then reconnect and power on, you can start delayed charging. The voltage of the battery system composed of parallel or series should be consistent with the voltage of the charger. If the voltage of the charger is lower than the voltage of the battery system, the battery will never be fully charged. On the contrary, if the voltage of the charger is too high, the battery will overheat during charging, produce a lot of bubbles, and explode or be damaged in severe cases.

Long-term storage and non-use are extremely harmful to lead liquid batteries. If long-term storage is inevitable, fully charge the battery before storage. Remove all battery cables, try to store the battery in a cool environment, but at the same time pay attention to the temperature above zero degrees Celsius. The stored battery will discharge slowly, the lower the temperature, the slower the discharge. If the battery is stored for a long time and is not in use, it should be charged once every two months.
