What is a floor scrubber?

- Aug 18, 2025-

A floor scrubber is what we call an automatic floor scrubber. Essentially, it is a powerful, highly efficient cleaning machine that can replace a mop and bucket. A floor scrubber does three main things at once:

1: It provides a cleaning solution - water or water mixed with a floor cleaner - to a cleaning brush or floor pad.

2: It uses equipment such as brushes or floor pads to clean and scrub the floor.

3: It has a recovery system that uses a squeegee and vacuum to suck up the dirty water after cleaning.

What are the benefits of using a floor scrubber?

There are three main advantages:

Advantage 1: Fast cleaning

It is much faster to clean floors with a floor scrubber than with a mop and bucket.

It takes an hour to clean an area of about 1,500 square feet to 2,000 square feet with a mop and bucket.

With a push-type floor scrubber, you can clean about 20,000 square feet in the same hour. If you use a larger automatic scrubber, you can clean more than 50,000 square feet in one hour.

Advantage 2: Less water use

The second advantage is that scrubbers use much less water than mopping.

This is not only better for the environment, but it also makes efficient use of water and detergent when cleaning floors.

Advantage 3: Cleaner floors

The third advantage is that scrubbers give you better cleaning results and hygienic floors.

The reason for this is that mopping spreads dirt all over the floor, while automatic scrubbers suck it up, leaving the floor surface cleaner and drier. Cleaning efficiency is very high.
