What is a ride-on sweeper?

Ride-On Sweepers by Pivot Machinery are high-performance cleaning equipment that combines sweeping, vacuuming, and water spraying. During the road sweeping, the vacuum fan and water spray system prevent extra dust generation.  Generally, a ride-on sweeper is consists of a vehicle system, a sweeping system, a vacuum system, and a water spray system. These sweepers are batteries powered, low noise, zero-emission, and ECO-friendly.

1. The main cleaning wastes - what debris/waste does the road sweeper clean? 

The G-series Ride-On Sweeper is mainly to clean the particulates, dust, dirt, sand, small rocks, broken glass, nails, plastic particles, leaves, small sticks, grass clippings on the road surface. But the sweepers are not suitable to clean the rope, long fibers, belts, high-temperature subjects, and corrosive materials. The long ropes/fibers are very easy to tangle with the sweeping brushes and block the rotating of brushes and damage the sweeping brush motors.

2. Road Surface - what kind of road Surface does the road sweeper clean?

The G-series sweepers fit most road/floor surface cleaning. General, they are mainly for cleaning road surface that is basically flat.  Such as industrial hard floors,  epoxy floors,  Ceramic tile surfaces, marble, and other stone surfaces, concrete, asphalt,  brick paving, and other flat road surfaces. But they are not for stairs, washboard roads, and other rugged road surfaces.

3. Cleaning Sites - what sites does the floor sweeper clean?

By its cleaning capacity, the sweepers are suitable to clean the road/floor surface, indoors and outdoors, e.g.： ports, airports,  logistics hubs, warehouses, markets, parking lots, town centers, pedestrian areas, communities, campuses, industrial sites as mining, cement, glass factory, casting factories, and other facilities. 4. Cleaning area, how big is the area?

The G-series ride-on sweepers are batteries powered, so the working time is limited by the battery's capacity.  Normally the bigger the sweeper machine, the more batteries are equipped to fit its driving motor, vacuum motor, sweeping motors, lights, and other electrical consumption components. e.g. if the G2400 sweeper works in a tropical country, and the buyer needs an air conditioner equipped. The working time / one charging of the road sweeper will be decreased due to the air conditioner's power consumption.

7. Dust Hopper, How big is the Dust container in the Road Sweeper?

The dust hopper stores the dust and debris swept by the brushes or vacuumed by the negative fans. Generally, the bigger the hopper, the sweeper machine work more time without downtime to discharge the dust. e.g. In the G-series sweepers, G2400 is equipped with a 240L standard dustbin, the operator just needs to change a new empty dustbin and continue to sweep the roads.

8. Water Spray System, Do I need a water spray system to control the dust flying during the cleaning?

The high-pressure water sprays evenly on the road surface to prevent secondary dust pollution during the brooms rotating. A large water tank is very helpful for a longer working time without pausing and refilling the water. e.g. For most outdoor floor-sweeping, a water spray system is very helpful, not only controlling the flying dust but also watering slightly as a small water cart.

Some road sweeper has an external water spray hose, it has multiple applications, such as washing the floor, washing cars, watering the plants.

9. Price, How much is a Ride-On Sweeper?

Because of the increasing labor cost, very few people choose a job as a hold a broom to clean the road. More and more cleaning companies start to buy or hire sweeping machines.
